I bought these silicone half sphere molds to make hot cocoa bombs. I especially like this kit because it contains 3 molds along with a silicon brush and spatula. These balls are the perfect size for a mug of hot chocolate. I was concerned at first that the molds are thin and floppy, but I just put them on a small tray and they worked fine. The thin silicon made it super easy to remove the chocolate pieces. I found these worked best by brushing a layer of chocolate, cooling it in the fridge for 5 minutes, holding it up to the light to see where the thin spots were, brushing a second layer of chocolate and cooling in the fridge again. I initially put a full single-serving recipe of mix inside, but found that's too much with the chocolate shell. To prevent fingerprints on the shiny surface of the chocolate, wear disposable plastic gloves. You can melt the edge of one shell on a hot tray or pan so it seals to the edges of the other shell. After a few pracitce bombs, you can get an assembly line going! I'll be making chocolate molds for custard/fruit cups next.
